CLE Requirements: The Oregon State Bar requires attorneys to complete 45 credits, including 5 legal ethics credits, 1 child abuse and elder abuse reporting credit, and 1 mental health and substance use education credit, by April 30 every three years. In alternate reporting periods, 3 of the 45 required credits must be in access to justice credit. All credits must be reported by June 2 of the following year.
To verify your compliance period and the credits required, log in to your member dashboard. A maximum of 15 credits may be carried over to the next compliance period. Excess legal ethics, access to justice, child abuse and elder abuse reporting, and mental health and substance use education credits can be applied to the general or practical skills requirement. PLI is an approved Sponsor with the Oregon State Bar. Providers are required to submit applications for each program.
