Overview
Welcome to PLI’s AI/Tech Studio Series – this innovative, new series features hour-long, in-depth discussions on the latest in artificial intelligence and the next generation of technology. Series topics explored are generative AI and its intersection with open source and licensing, quantum computing, bitcoin biometrics and the 6G landscape.
This 2-part California studio program will closely dive into the technology and address the standards landscape, and how increases in capacity and service level demand new approaches to technology. Compared to 5G, what are the new advantages to 6G? Examples include the use of meta materials in buildings that can transport cell signals in urban areas, and what will that mean for accompanying leasing and regulatory issues, as well as navigating the California privacy law. The faculty will then address the legal lessons learned from the 5G roll out, including interactions between the FCC and FAA regarding potential interference in aircraft communications. What might be new hurdles? When patenting 6G, what should be the focus?
